1. Who we are

Fortune Cookie ("Fortune Cookie", "we", "us") is a daily fortune and journaling web app available at www.fortunecookie.fit. You can reach us at sukrithakrishna@gmail.com. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use Fortune Cookie

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or buy Fortune Cookie Plus. You're responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens on your account.

3. What Fortune Cookie is (and isn't)

Fortunes, reflections and dashboard insights are written for fun and gentle self-reflection. They are not medical, mental-health, financial, legal or any other professional advice, and they don't predict the future. If you're struggling, please talk to someone you trust or a qualified professional.

4. Plans and pricing

• Free: one personalised cookie a day, the daily check-in, your cookie calendar, the manifest journal and the classic share card.
• Fortune Cookie Plus: ₹199 per month, including applicable taxes. Plus adds unlimited daily cookies, six themed cookies, premium share-card styles and the manifestation dashboard.

We may change features or prices in the future. If the price of Plus changes, we'll tell you by email at least 7 days before it affects your next payment, and you can cancel before then.

5. Payments and automatic renewal

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as our merchant of record and reseller. Your charge may appear on your statement as "Dodo Payments". We never see or store your full card or UPI details.

Plus is a subscription that renews automatically every month on the same date until you cancel. When you subscribe, you authorise a recurring payment of ₹199 a month. For Indian cards and UPI AutoPay, your bank or UPI app sets up a mandate. It may display a maximum ceiling amount, but you will only be charged your plan price. Your bank or UPI app will notify you before each renewal charge, as Indian rules require.

If a renewal payment fails, Plus may be paused until the payment succeeds or you update your payment method.

6. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel any time, and you keep Plus until the end of the month you've already paid for. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how to cancel and when you can get your money back.

7. Your content

Your check-in answers, fortunes and journal entries belong to you. You give us permission to store and process them only so we can run the app for you, for example to show your history and build your dashboard. Share cards you create are yours to post wherever you like.

8. Fair use

Please don't: try to break into other people's accounts or our systems; get around payment or Plus restrictions; scrape, copy or resell the app or its fortunes; or use Fortune Cookie for anything illegal or harmful. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

9. Our content

The Fortune Cookie name, cookie characters, illustrations, sounds, fortunes and design belong to us. You may share cards generated in the app, but please don't copy or reuse the rest without permission.

10. Availability

We work hard to keep Fortune Cookie running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may update, change or stop parts of the service. If we ever shut Plus down, we'll stop future charges and refund any unused part of your current month.

11. Liability

As far as the law allows, Fortune Cookie is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Indian consumer protection law.

12. Closing your account

You can stop using Fortune Cookie at any time. To delete your account and data, email us (see our Privacy Policy). Deleting your account doesn't automatically cancel a subscription, so please cancel Plus first.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we'll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of India.
